After 40 years behind a desk I decided I’d like to do something more creative and took a course in jewellery making.  I was taught by Richard Whitehouse at Richard’s Jewellery and Silversmithing School in Manningtree – sadly now closed.

Since completing that course I have been designing and making one-off and small batch pieces in sterling silver from my workshop in Martlesham, Suffolk.  Everything is made from scratch, starting with silver wire or sheet silver and then cutting, forging, soldering and polishing to get the result I’m looking for.

I’m drawn to abstract, organic shapes and my work usually involves quite a lot of hammering.  My neighbours are very tolerant!
